EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS:
Hauwa graduated from the University of Maiduguri with a BL Degree (1995-2000) and proceeded to the Nigeria Law School where she obtained her LLB (2002-2003) in addition to her masters in Business and Commercial Law (2006-2007) which she obtained in Bayero University, Kano.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCE:
Hauwa commenced her legal practice in the Litigation firm of Ya Fatima Chambers and later joined ASO Savings and Loans Plc where she held the
various positions of Held, Legal Department, Head, Corporate Affairs and Litigation and Head, Foreclosure and later joined Evens Solicitors, a full services commercial law firm in Abuja with versatility in core areas of legal practice as a senior partner.
Hauwa’s experience cuts across a broad spectrum of legal facets ranging from company secretarial, corporate and commercial law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance related issues, including but not limited to company formation, legal review and opinion writing ,drafting, review and advise on contractual matters, share restructure and divesture, preparation and perfection of security documents. Intellectual property, registration of trademarks, increase in share capital, annual general meetings, foreign direct investment, due diligence, winding up, immigration and labor issues. She also provides loan recovery services to financial institutions. In addition, she is an accomplished negotiator and seasoned in loan restructure of customers loans leading to seamless repayment of customers’ outstanding obligations.
